Our mixed-age classrooms are designed to facilitate social, emotional and academic development for Primary and Kindergarten students. The curriculum materials are rooted in the Montessori philosophy, and as such are naturally appealing to children’s innate desire to learn. New and challenging concepts, materials and experiences are introduced throughout the school year to continually engage the children’s curiosity. As children master thoughtful activities and develop new interests, they naturally progress to more challenging activities throughout the classroom.
Our Toddlers-in-Transition Program provides an age-appropriate and nurturing introduction to the Montessori learning environment that is specifically tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs. The Toddlers-in-Transition classroom is designed to be warm, gentle, and consistent. These classroom attributes encourage bonding between peers, teachers and the community at large. The classroom environment is full of ever-changing materials that naturally interest and challenge ever-curious toddlers. The program also provides the opportunity to mingle with and learn from older children, while maintaining a separate toddler-appropriate work-space. This is an excellent setting for toddlers to test and develop their newfound physical, social and emotional independence in a school setting.
